About
Welcome!
My research interests fall into three general categories:
(1) Fe-related (bio)geochemistry on Earth and Mars
(2) Meteorites on Mars
(3) Applications of portable Mössbauer and XRF spectroscopy
I am currently involved in two major research projects:
(1) For the DFG-funded Research Group FOR 580, Electron Transfer Processes in Anoxic Aquifers (e-TraP), I coordinate and manage the scientific support in Mössbauer spectroscopy.
(2) As NASA Mars Exploration Rover Athena Science Team collaborator, I act as Payload Uplink Lead and Payload Downlink Lead for the Mössbauer spectrometer and Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS).
I serve on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Astrobiology.
I am an Associate Editor for Earth Sciences at Versita Open (books).
